Peter Fife grew up in Northern Indiana, often wandering the wooded areas behind his parent's property. However, his interest in arboriculture did not come until after starting with a tree company dragging brush. After several years, his inquisitive nature drove him to express interest in learning about tree health issues.
This led to him earn his Indiana Category 3a - Ornamental Pest Management Certification. The desire to learn more pushed him to earn his ISA Certified Arborist. His further commitment to education motivated him to earn his ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualification.
Following his passion to help and educate others, he took a role as a Sales Arborist. Over the next several years, in order to broaden his scope of expertise, he gained experience in utility line clearance pruning inspection and municipal arboriculture. To more effectively communicate with clients and fellow professional arborists, he attended ASCA's Consulting Academy. He later became a member of ASCA.
His integrity, honesty, and helpful nature was noticed by arboriculture leaders and he was asked to apply for a position on the Indiana Arborist Association's Board of Directors. He was elected to the Board and was later asked to be the chairperson for the outreach and awareness committee.
Despite his many and varied experiences in his 10+ year career, he still seeks to continually expand his knowledge and improve his understanding of the arboriculture world.
